He desperately wants to be respected and revered so he makes up stories about himself, pretending that he has done this and that. When we meet him he works at a newspaper in the mailroom in modern day New York and he does not have the courage to try to get a promotion or ask the editor (Amanda Peet) out on a date – he has a BIG crush on her. How do you portray Gulliver and what is his journey all about? Here, Jack talks about what it was like to be involved in this fresh spin on a fairytale.
